Massage therapists are experts in treating the musculoskeletal (MSK) system. The MSK system includes the muscles, bone and joints of the entire body including the spine (back and neck), upper extremity (shoulder, arms and hands) and lower extremity (hips, legs and feet).
While massage therapists have a reputation for treating problems of the back and neck, we routinely work on injuries in all parts of the body.
We take the time to understand your problem
During your first appointment, your massage therapist will take time to discuss the reason for your visit and collect all the information pertaining to your condition. This is followed by a physical assessment to confirm the source of your discomfort. Once your massage therapist has diagnosed your condition, he will suggest a treatment plan for your recovery.
Diverse skill set
Massage therapy care in our downtown clinic will include some combination of Active Release (massage that involves moving through small ranges of motion), exercise, stretching, cupping, Graston, shockwave, home exercise and spinal adjustments.
